Pricing is based on market at the time of reservation, please contact us for pricing. A refundable reservation fee of $500 is applied towards the purchase price of the puppy (is transferable to another of our open interest lists) is required once your request has been approved. This will hold your order on our reservation list. A reservation fee can be made via Zelle,Venmo, Check or Cash. We accept 3-4 deposits on each litter prior to their birth and will start a waiting list for any additional puppies that are born. If you cancel, we will refund your deposit within 30 days of your notice to us or as soon as your spot is taken, whichever comes first.

Once the puppies are born, if you are on the reservation list, you will receive a birth announcement along with a picture of the litter. You will receive updates with new pictures of the litter (through email and/or our private Brayfield Labradors Instagram group page and/or videos) at least bi-weekly.

When the puppies are born, a second progress installment of $500 is due.

When the puppies reach 7-8 weeks of age your final balance is due.

All Brayfield Labrador puppies go home on Limited American Kennel Club registration. We request that if for some reason, you decide to relinquish your dog to a shelter, you inform us first before doing so. We microchip all dogs to ensure they are not relinquished to a shelter and are appropriately re-homed or fostered (Microchip remains registered in Brayfield kennel name for first 12 months of life). Timing and decision to spay or neuter is at the purchaser’s discretion but recommended once the dog is fully matured.

Selection of puppies: Each puppy is a living creature with a unique personality. The proper temperament fit between you and your puppy is the vital element. We work with families to advise on temperament of each puppy at the 7 week mark, and take into consideration your original and developing preferences throughout the process.

Please keep in mind that it is in Mother Nature’s hands to determine gender, color, and coat of your future puppy. We will do our very best to provide you with the puppy of your dreams and match your preferences, but sometimes this may not always be possible. In the event that you are offered a puppy that does not meet your wishes, your reservation fee will be rolled over to the next available similar litter.

When the puppies are 7-8 weeks old, they will be temperament tested and then they will be allocated to their new families.

Date for your puppy adoption will be between 8 and 9 weeks old. We will work with you as to the exact date as we get closer to that puppy age and how to best transfer the puppy into your family. Puppies must be picked up between 8-9 weeks or an additional boarding fee may apply.

PLEASE do NOT send a reservation/deposit to us without an approved application.

Brayfield Labradors reserves the right to retain any puppy for breeding purposes. We also reserve the right to refuse service.

GEORGE - New hampshire

We purchased our black Labrador puppy, Ripple, from James at Brayfield Labradors in 2021, and we couldn’t be happier. Ripple has been an absolutely wonderful dog—beautiful, athletic, playful, friendly, and incredibly well behaved. She loves to swim, run in the snow, and join us on boating, fishing, and camping trips. She gets along amazingly well with other dogs and has never had an issue in any setting.
James does a truly exceptional job as a breeder. He is thoughtful and meticulous in selecting breeding pairs and uses DNA analysis to rule out the most common genetic diseases. It’s clear he is passionate about the health, temperament, and overall quality of his dogs. We feel very fortunate not only to have found such a great breeder, but also to have become friends with James along the way.
We even flew from Boston to San Diego to pick up Ripple, and she traveled perfectly. We highly recommend making the trip—enjoy one of the finest cities in the U.S. and bring home an amazing new puppy. That’s exactly what we did, and we would do it again without hesitation.
Highly recommend Brayfield Labradors.
